Solution to handlebar clearance variations on 2018+ GoldWings ...
Had these installed on our 2018 gold wing and they are a game changer. My husband absolutely loves them. They are spendy , but so worth it.
Quality product. Everything that was necessary to complete the installation came with the product package. Written instructions and photos that were supplied helped with installation...as did the YouTube video. The process took longer than I anticipated mainly due to the time and effort to remove the left handlebar grip. The tool that is supplied with the heli-bars does work and you are able to get the grip off undamaged, but it is a slow tedious process (Milwaukee or Makita should make an attachment for this part of the job).
There is just enough length and room to accommodate the wire and brake line rerouting for the new bars.
I am in the process of experimenting with the different handlebars positions that I now have available with Heli-bars, and I like it!
received my 2018+ HONDA GL1800 HELIBARS® HORIZON™ SST MULTI-AXIS REPLACEMENT HANDLEBARS all pieces were wrapped very well, unboxed the pieces and about 3.5 hrs later I was done , went for a ride and the handling was so much more comfortable, feels and handles amazing,lots of adjustment,game changer to the bikes handling.
A must have for the 2018+ Gold Wing. If you’re a taller rider and feel cramped as I did at 6’4”. Bars are fully adjustable and allows you to set them exactly where you need them. Improved my riding and even my balance on the motorcycle with my arms up and further out to allow me in the correct riding position. Took away all the pain I was getting on long rides in my neck and shoulder area. Quality is also top notch. Build quality was not overlooked with this product. Very high quality.
Install time from you tube video was just about 3 hrs . No problems. Product suited me well, since my arms are short. I adjusted the bars to my fit. Thanks
Very high quality product and a huge improvement in ergonomics for the 2018+ Goldwing (Honda should include these by default). I did find installing the left grip very difficult, some extra info about cleaning out the residual glue might help.

Don't waste your time trying to get comfy with other little tweaks and accessories. If your reach is causing back, shoulder, neck pain, this is the only solution in my opinion. Wasted money on doing everything else cheaper that did not resolve my pains. In the end I wasted money. Finally got these sst bars and it was the cure. Its amazing how it also improved my riding. You won't regret it!
