HeliBars® TracStar™ replacement clip-on handlebars by Heli Modified, Inc. An innovative design with improved street comfort.
HeliBars® TracStar™ Triumph® Daytona® 675 handlebar riser clip-ons by Heli Modified, Inc. An innovative design with improved street comfort.
Heli Modified believes you should have your cake and eat it too because, "Performance shouldn't be painful™"
Our design guru, Harry Eddy, has once again applied his 360° Design™ approach to produce the first in a new line of one piece alloy HeliBars.
CNC carved from a single 6061 extruded aluminum billet, the new TracStar™clip-ons allow optimal placement of controls in a cramped environment. Because there are no handlebar tube mounting clamps attached to the fork tube clamps, the master cylinders and switch gear can be mounted closer to the top triple clamp. This single feature optimizes bar angles, height and width changes.
The first recipient of the new TracStar™ HeliBars is Triumph's® awesome new Daytona® 675.
"The 675 is a balancing act that will be hard to follow. It is the most compact and well balanced sport bike I've owned. The only thing this machine needs is my new taller, flatter and wider TracStar™ bars."
- 42.5 mm (1.670") taller at the damper end
- 10 mm (3/8") taller at the fork tube
- 25 mm 1" wider at 27 inches
- One piece seamless design
- As always, pre drilled for control housings. A true direct replacement design.
- Retains factory damper weights
- Billet reservoir mount included
- Retains all stock cables and hydraulic lines
- No modifications to install
- 45 minute installation time

What a difference!
I ordered my Tracstars on a Wednesday, had them delivered by Friday and installed Saturday afternoon. Aside from the removal of the bar end weights (which was a huge pain but not Heli's fault, it's a Triumph issue), the installation was simple and straightforward. The bars themselves are clearly very high quality in terms of material and machining. They look absolutely OEM in terms of matching the high quality of the Daytona's cockpit.
Once installed, I took the bike for a test ride. From the first time I sat on the bike with the new bars, I knew it was perfect. The new setup is so confidence inspiring, particularly at low speeds, in parking lots, etc. I now find the bike super comfortable, where before it could be a bit challenging. Not uncomfortable, per se, but not 100% natural.
As for appearances, from the front and side views of the bike, it looks pretty much the same as stock. You can see that the clip ons don't angle down anywhere near as much as the stock bars. From the cockpit the bars look pretty wide. This is the most striking visual difference. The bike still looks like an aggressive, race oriented machine. It's just comfortable now!
In addition to the comfort, I also find my confidence improved on the bike. I think the wider, flatter bars give you increased leverage and control. I only wish I would have done this from day one!
