BMW S1000RR HeliBar TracStar Bars are Superb

Im 6'1" with a fairly long reach and found the stock bar position pretty taxing after only 20 miles or so. It required a fairly conscious effort leg-squeezing the tank to keep the wrists from going south. I decided to give the TracStars a go, to pick up a little relief. Placed my order with some great folks at NAEF Cycle in Green Bay, super nice people, fair price, really fast shipping. Out of the box the bars impress, very well made, screaming quality. Four ounces heavier than stock, but remember your'e getting more lift and backset. The install is very staright-forward for average gear heads, if you have enough skill to remove the old bars, you will have a good install of the TracStar bars. On the Beemer it takes a set of Torx bits and (1) common size hex head. The right-side switch pod is the only real test, and that's because it takes a very small and tedious to get to Torx bit. All other aspects are a breeze, two hours tops and your'e on the road. The results were great, well worth the time and money. At first you dont notice much difference, but right about when you used to get wrist lock, you'll know why it was worth it. I wouldn't want to tour on my S1000RR, but I'm able to burn through a tank of gas without stopping and shaking my wrists for relief every 15 or 20 minutes, and that's a win to me. These bars are equal fit, finish and quality to what I pulled off, and thay allow full and correct function of everything on the bike. I dont put aftermarket parts on my bikes, but I made an exception for these TracStar Bars by HeliBars, they rock. I would do it again and probably will. Call NAEF and get some.
