2007 GSXR1000
I bought my 2007 GSXR1000 last year and being 48 years old, realized I had probably made a mistake as it was much more race track oriented then the past sportbikes I had owned. I was actually going to put it up for sale at a big loss but decided to try these first. I have to thank Helibar as these made my 2007 GSXR1000 much more comfortable to ride. As was mentioned before, these will not make the GSXR a touring bike but the position does not bother me as much now and makes my ride alot more enjoyable. I have not noticed a loss in handling due to slight shift in weight. Would highly recommend these to anyone having issues like I with the race track ergonomics of the GSXR1000. A Whole New Bike
I just installed Tracstars on my '07 GSXR-1000. Installation couldn't have been simpler. The instructions were perfectly clear. I am glad I had some grip glue laying around, since I had forgotten I'd need some for the left grip.
The manufacturing quality of these pieces is superb. You'll know you're holding a quality product as soon as they come out of the (well-padded) packaging. Fit and finish was beautiful. Fit of the switch gear and brake reservoir is as it came from the factory.
The ride... The first ride it literally felt like I had borrowed someone else's bike. The specs of the movement (1 5/8 in taller; 1 in rearward; 1 1/2 in wider) do not do justice to how dramatic the difference in feel actually is. The weight on my palms is vastly reduced as well as being spread more evenly across the the palm vs. concentrated on the outer edge. The extra leverage is a huge advantage at parking lot speeds as well as in rapid left/right transitions. Fine control of a cornering line is much easier now. You simply feel like you have more control during sport riding.
Only problem I see with them is they may make me consider a double- bubble windscreen since I now sit up higher and can actually see in all directions without visiting a chiropractor first.
These things are really, really nice.

Zero gravity makes a touring model of their windshields. It's taller than even the double bubble.

Everything from the packaging to the machine work on the Tracstar Bars was top-notch! I can't say it enough...the quality of the bars is amazing, especially compared to the stock set. When installed, they look stock...upon further inspection...you'll notice the upgrade (in quality). They don't stand out like other obnoxious add-on parts. They WILL NOT turn your bike into a sport tourer...they will take the "edge" off of your rides. You'll feel less weight on your wrists, you'll be slightly more upright and you'll have more leverage. I noticed a difference on slow speed u-turns. Due to the extra leverage, I feel that my handling improved...I was concerned that the opposite would occur. Along with my adjustable Vortex rear-sets (set at the lowest, most rearward position), my bike has been transformed into a sport bike that doesn't compromise comfort for handling! LOVE 'EM!!
Just installed a set on my 08
Just installed a set on my 08 GSXR 1000 and they transformed the bike into a totally different machine, after having back surgery last year I've been looking for different ways to make riding more comfortable, these bars were the solution I was looking for!
Heli Bars
I just had the Heli Bars installed on my 2008 GSXR 1000 and it made a huge difference in comfort! The 1 5/8 taller and 1 1/2 wider bars made quite a difference in the feel. Tomorrow I'll be trying the new bars in the twisties....can't wait!
I highly recommend these bars for added comfort on those long hauls.

Great mod
I installed these on my K8 GSXR-1000. My hands and back are no longer sore by the time I get to work, and they look stock. Installation was a breeze, and all my existing cables & lines work fine. I haven't noticed any loss of front end feel on the track, and it's actually a little easier to turn in on fast corners now with the additional leverage due to the flatter angle of the bar. I reccommend them.
