HeliWorld: Lean Into Life

On the Look Out for a...BMW S1000RR

There has been a lot of interest lately for the new BMW S1000RR.  Therefore, we at HeliBars are on the lookout for an S1000RR to bring in house for R&D.

Do you know someone in the New England Area willing to loan us a bike for development?  Have them give us a call at (800) 859-4642 or email us at quality@helibars.com.

*Re-designs, re-designs, re-designs*

We know it has been a long time since some of our product line went into re-design.  HeliBars, like many companies, is affected by the current economy.  Working with a reduced staff, we have been able to re-introduce bars for the CBR1000RR model years 2004-2009, SV1000 model years 2003-2008 and the R1 model years 2007-2010.

There is still more work to be done, and we need your help!  We are looking for model years 1998-2006 of the Yamaha R1 to complete those re-designs.  While our previous model had fit the 1998-2008 with only changes for the fork tube clamp the current model (TS09038 for 2007-2008) won't work.  Therefore, we need a bike in house to do the final work up for the earlier model years. If you know someone in the New England area with a YZF R1 model year 1998 through 2006 have them give us a call  (800) 859-4642.

As with all new product introductions the owner of the loaner gets the first set of production bars for *FREE*!

ST1300 Product Re-Design

Shortly after Honda released it's amazing ST1300 in 2003, HeliBars began developing new ways to reposition the stock handlebars to improve long distance comfort.  This was no easy task considering what a great job Honda did with the ergonomic layout of it's new Sport Tourer.

First we had to understand what our customers would be looking for in a handlebar change and how they would be using their ST1300.  Honda already builds the world's most luxurious Touring Motorcycle, and this fact is undisputed.  So what was our mission with the ST? By sport bike standards, the ST1300 is sporty yet comfy, but by touring standards the ST's reach to the bars becomes more of a distraction as neck and shoulder pains begin to set in.

The decision HeliBars made early on in it's design approach was that it's customers were going to be using their ST1300 as a lighter, lower cost alternative to the GL1800.
